Good Things Come in Small Packages: Storage Boxes

Good things do indeed come in small packages, or containers... as shown below.  Volunteer gardeners -- also handy with carpentry -- have been busy at work making storage boxes to hold:  Weigh Scale Forms and Storage Bags.  These red boxes were recently built and installed on/in the new Weigh Station Shed.  See Weigh Station Ahead post for more photos.

Weigh Station Ahead !

New Weigh Station (scales)
Harvest of Hope Community Garden now has a sheltered weigh station complete with bucket and scale!   Volunteer garden members will use this scale to measure their veggies prior to donating to food pantries, soup kitchens, etc.  Last year Harvest of Hope harvested & donated over 475 pounds.

Below are photos during construction...

BEFORE and DURING construction

Thank you to the volunteers who constructed the new weigh station with scales :)

Members can fill out the type and weights of produce on a sheet of paper located in wall-boxes next to scales. Then they can put completed forms in a "completed" wall-box also near scale. See entire completed weigh station in below photo.
